Chakar Voyvoda Hut

Chakar Voyvoda Hut is a massive two-storey building in the Rila Mountains, located beside the road from Borovets resort to Sargyol hunting lodge, near the Zhaltoezerna (formerly Sargyolska) meadow.

The trail to the hut starts in Borovets at the Olymp hotel, follows red markings and takes about 2 hours 30 minutes. The path is wide and easy, with no dangerous sections. The walk can be shortened by taking the lift to Sitnyakovo and starting from its upper station. From the hut, a short climb leads to the Sargyol meadow, with views of the Deno and Shatar peaks. The hut is not always open, so it is advisable to call ahead.
