Chumerna Hut is a massive three-storey building, built in 1965–1966. It stands at 1,450 m above sea level, on the northern slope of Chumerna Peak in the Elena-Tvarditsa Mountain, part of Central Stara Planina.
The hut is a waypoint on the European long-distance path E3 (Kom – Emine). It can be reached from Tvarditsa Pass in about 1.5 hours, from Miykovtsi village in 3.5–4 hours and from Bukovets Hut in about 1.5 hours. Chumerna Peak is about half an hour on foot from the hut.
