Demyanitsa Hut is located in Pirin, above the confluence of the Vasilashka, Demyanitsa (Valyavitsa) and Gazeyska rivers. It was built by the Eltepe tourist society of Bansko on municipal land donated to the society, and was lit and opened on 21 August 1932. It was designed by architects Gencho Skordev and Elena Varakadzhieva-Skordeva. The hut was extended in 1954 and 1966.
The complex includes a massive two-storey building with an attic floor and 14 bungalows. Marked trails lead from the hut to Bezbog Hut, Vihren Hut and Tevno Ezero Shelter. Nearby are the Vasilashki, Todorini, Valyavishki, Prevalski and Gazeyski lakes, as well as Golyama Todorka and Golyam Tipik peaks. The approach from Bansko crosses avalanche-prone slopes near Demyanishka Polyana and Roshkov Grob, which matters on winter hikes.
