Madarski Konnik Hut

Madarski Konnik Hut is a building with a capacity of 60 beds in rooms with 2, 3, 4 or more beds. Four of the rooms have been renovated and have their own bathroom, while the others use shared floor toilets and showers. The hut has central heating, a tourist dining room and buffet, a car park, a barbecue and landscaped grounds. It is run by the Madarski Konnik Tourist Society – Shumen.

It stands in the Madarski Konnik historical and archaeological reserve, by the road Madara village – Kaspichan – Novi Pazar. Madara village is about 1.5 km (30 min on foot) away, Shumen 20 km and Kaspichan 8 km. The reserve includes the Madara Rider rock relief, a Roman villa, a fortress, a palace complex and a rock monastery, and is one of the 100 National Tourist Sites. The visit stamp for the site is kept at the hut when the site is closed. Pliska, the first capital of Bulgaria, lies 14 km away.
