Malina Hut stands at about 1550 m above sea level in the Western Stara Planina, within the territory of Gintsi village, Godech municipality, north of the Etropole locality. The building is a solid single-storey structure.
A gravel road leads northwest from Gintsi towards the hut. From the hut the trail continues north along a cart road and reaches the grassy southern slopes of the Kom ridge, and the whole route from the village to the summit takes about 3 hours. The hut is listed together with Petrohan Hut among the tourist sites of the municipality.
