Persenk Hut

Persenk Hut is a complex of one main building and several bungalows in the Chadara locality, on the Persenk ridge in the Western Rhodopes, at about 1,721 m above sea level. It is run by the Chernatitsa tourist society of Plovdiv.

The small hut offers 15 places in 4 rooms with 2, 3 and 4 beds, with indoor toilets and showers, local heating and a restaurant with a fireplace. Nine bungalows provide another 55 places, each with a toilet, shower and electric heating. A separate building houses a buffet restaurant with a summer terrace. Total capacity is about 70 places.

The hut is reached on foot from Orehovo village in about 2.5 hours along a 12 km dirt road, and from Lilkovo village in about 3 hours. It is about 3 hours to Skalni Mostove hut, about 3 hours 20 minutes to Chudnite Mostove hut, and about two hours to Golyam Persenk peak.
