Pogledets Hut is located in the northeastern part of Vitosha, in the Katunishte area, roughly midway between Aleko Hut and the village of Bistritsa. To the west it borders the Bistrishko Branishte biosphere reserve, and to the east the Katunishte meadows. The building is solid and has two floors.
The hut is reached on foot from Aleko Hut in about an hour, and from the village of Bistritsa in about 1 h 45 min along the Katunishte ridge, 2 h along the Yanchevska River and 2 h 15 min along the Bistrishka River.
As of October 2026 the hut is not operating and is listed as temporarily closed.
