- In summer a gravel road reaches the Haydushki Polyani locality, about 7 km from Manastir and 16 km from Slaveyno, from where the hut is about 1 h 15 min on foot.

Prespa Hut is located in the Western Rhodopes, in the Prespa ridge, in the Gorelata Hvoyna locality near the village of Manastir, at 1,802 m above sea level. It is a massive two-storey building with 52 beds. It is run by the Karlak tourist society, Smolyan.
Each floor has toilets and bathrooms, heating is by solid-fuel stoves, and the hut has a tourist dining room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a room for quiet games. In front of the hut there is a meadow with swings and a zip line.
The hut is a stop on the European hiking route E-8. It can be reached from the village of Manastir in about 2 hours, from the village of Slaveyno in about 3 hours and from the Haydushki Polyani locality in about 1 hour 15 minutes. The Momchil Yunak and Svoboda huts are about 2 hours away on foot, and Prespa peak (2,001 m) is about 1 hour away.
