Ruen Hut was built in 1937 and is a complex of two buildings. It stands on a small terrace at about 1,200 m above sea level in the northeastern part of the Belocherkovski ridge, in the Bukaka locality, below Ruen Peak (1,326 m).
Nearby are the rock formations Glavata and Gigantite and the hunting lodge near the village of Yavorovo. The yellow-marked route from Asenovgrad to Zdravets Hut passes by the hut. In 2018 volunteers from Kuklen Municipality prepared a marked trail of about 12 km from Kuklen to the hut. The hut is not in operation and is gradually decaying.
