Ruy Hut was built near Ruy Peak (1,706 m), the highest point of Ruy Mountain. It stands in the Kozina Livada locality, at the foot of the peak's northwestern slope, near the Serbian border.

The building is a massive two-storey structure. The booklet for Ruy Peak can be stamped at the hut and at the tourist information centre in Trun.
