Shumnatitsa Hut is located in the Shumnatitsa locality in Eastern Rila, east of the Borovets resort, at an altitude of 1,361 m. It is a complex of two buildings, a solid two-storey one and a solid single-storey one, with a total capacity of 50 beds. The hut is run by the Rilski Turist tourist society from Samokov.
The hut has a restaurant, a living room with a fireplace, a library, satellite TV and local heating. In front of it lies a large meadow with large trees. From here one can reach Chakar Voyvoda hut (about 2.5 h), Maritsa hut (about 3 h) and Zavrachitsa hut (about 4.5 h), and Chernata Skala in about 1 h.
