Smolyanski Ezera Hut is located in the Smolyan Lakes area of Bukova Mountain in the Western Rhodopes, at about 1,530 m above sea level. The area lies between Snezhanka peak and the town of Smolyan, on the left slope of the Cherna River valley.
The hut is a complex of a massive two-storey building and several single-storey bungalows. Several small lakes lie in the surroundings, the highest being Mutnoto Lake at about 1,500 m.
