Treshtenik Hut

Treshtenik Hut stands in the Treshtenik resort area, about 13 km north of Yakoruda, on the southern slopes of Rila, about one kilometre from the boundary of Rila National Park. The hut has two buildings: the old one, built in 1937, and the new one – a massive four-storey building built in 2012. An asphalt road leads from Yakoruda to the hut and continues to the neighbouring Grunchar Hut.

The old building has 4 rooms, and the toilets and washrooms are shared on each floor. It has a tourist kitchen and a small tavern for about 25 guests, as well as several fire pits with grills for home barbecue.

The locality is a starting point for routes to Musala peak, for example via the Akademika student base near Nehtenitsa.
