Zdravets Hut

Zdravets Hut is a massive three-storey building in the Kurkutlaka locality, above the village of Topolitsa in Aytos municipality. The hut lies in Karnobatska Planina, part of Eastern Stara Planina, and is a starting point for four eco-trails in the area.

In the past the hut was visited by local mountain enthusiasts, and tourists and school groups stayed overnight there during organised outings. Since May 2023 it has been run by a new team. By early 2024 the building had a new facade, and the interior had been cleaned and repaired. Plans include increasing the number of beds by converting an outbuilding into three new rooms and two bathrooms, a vegetable garden for guests, a rainwater collection system and renewed trail markings.
