The Petar Tranteev National Caving Lodge is located near the village of Karlukovo, in the Kaleto locality, on a high rock on the opposite bank of the Iskar River, about 250 m east of the buildings of the state psychiatric hospital.
The building is a massive five-storey structure, with four of its floors set within a rock crevice.
