Prevala Shelter is a solid single-storey, single-room building that was formerly a border post. In 2007 the Osogovo Tourist Society converted it into a tourist shelter. It stands in the Prevala locality, north of Kulitsite peak.
Inside there is a solid-fuel stove, a first-aid cabinet and a large table with three benches, and outside there is a canopy with a fire pit. There are no bunks and no staff.
The shelter lies on the main route from Osogovo Hut to Ruen peak, marked in red. It is 1.5–2 hours on foot from the hut, and Chovek peak is 30–40 minutes beyond. The way to Ruen passes Kulitsite, Cherni Kamak, Shapka and Mali Ruen and takes about 2 hours.
