Samara Shelter is located on Vitosha, below Samara Peak in the Sedloto area, at about 2060 m above sea level, near post No. 74 of the winter marking from Kumata Hut to Cherni Vrah. The building is a single-storey stone structure with a vestibule and two rooms. It is owned by the Mountain Rescue Service – Sofia.
The shelter has no running water, electricity or sanitary facilities. As of 2023 it does not function for its original purpose and has no conditions for overnight stays.
