Zhivata Voda Shelter

Zhivata Voda Shelter is located in Southern Vitosha, at 1,080 m above sea level, on the left bank of a left tributary of the Dobri Dol River, at the Zhivata Voda spring. It is a stone shelter open on one side, suited for brief cover in bad weather. It offers no conditions for overnight stays.

A cave lies at the spring, and a table with benches and a fountain are nearby. The spring is known from the writings of the Ottoman traveler Evliya Celebi, and its water flows intermittently. The shelter can be reached on foot from Bosnek village in about 1 hour and from Kladnitsa village in about 1 hour 45 minutes.
